What a spectacularly sunny month we have had with lots of fun activities and events including our annual Sports day, our annual Fun Day with a visit from Bugfest and a Healthy Eating and wellbeing week.
A BIG thank you to Becky for setting up the role play area as The Gruffalo theme this month where the children have enjoyed dressing up as gruffalos, listening to the story CD’s and playing with the Gruffalo resources. Thank you also to Jane for building our own Gruffalo log pile, log house and gruffalo tree for the children.
What we have been up to this month...a BIG thank you to Lisa for setting up the role play area as baby clinic this month. The children have really enjoyed caring for their dolls, weighing them and feeding them with nursery play bottles.
We celebrated world Book day on the morning of Thursday 2 March, 2018. Despite the day being slightly over shadowed by the beginning of the heavy snow fall, a big well done to the children and staff who dressed up beautifully as a character from their favourite book.
Tiny Tennis continues to be popular on Thursday mornings and Jelley Talk on Tuesday mornings (both at 11am). Please do come and speak with a member of staff if you are interested in your child/ren joining either/both of these sessions.
We hope that you have all had a good start to the New Year. The children have all been very active and busy on their return to the nursery. A big thank you to Jess for organising the farm role play area this month. The children have enjoyed taking part in lots of different farm based activities.
An ENORMOUS thank you to you all for all the lovely gifts that you have kindly given us during this festive period. We so enjoyed the two nativity performances of Whoops-A-Daisy Angel! Well done to all the children for their wonderful singing and performing.
This month the children have enjoyed playing in the jungle themed role play area where they have been using the animal masks, painting pictures of butterflies and creating snakes.
We have been busy this month carving pumpkins, making bats, glitter spider webs and exploring ghoulish play dough/spooky slime and insect jelly ready for Halloween! The children have enjoyed autumnal walks in farm fields around the nursery collecting leaves and conkers.
Thank you to everyone that dressed up for our charity day. The children looked good in their outfits and wearing their Jeans. We raised £9.60 that will be split between the two charities. Thank you to everyone for your contributions.
We would like to say a HUGE thank you for the wonderful and very generous gifts and cards that parents and carers have given us all. We have had a brilliant month of ‘People who help us’ and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who kindly came to the nursery to talk to the children.
